Noida City New Okhla Industrial Development Area, also known as Noida, comes under the National Capital Region of India's capital -New Delhi, and is one of the largest industrial townships in Asia. On the west and south-west, Noida is touched by the river Yamuna, on the north and north-west by Delhi, on the north-east by Delhi and Ghaziabad and on the north-east, east and south-east by the river Hindon. Actually, Noida comes under the catchment area of the Yamuna River and is on the old river bed. It came on India’s map on 17 April 1976 and celebrates 17 April as "Noida Day", and is located in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar
Pradesh state.

Noida, besides, being one of the largest industrial townships of Asia, is an IT hub, housing various leading software companies and BPOs. This SEZ(Special Economic Zone) has attracted many offices and industries. Noida is the home of a large sports stadium, which is being upgraded to host the events of the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Noida, is not very much popular among the tourists, but is an outstanding place for the industries. It does not feature many historical landmarks, but offers a lot of entertainment. The Golf Course in Sector 38, is one of the best golf course of Northern India.It is a center of attraction for golfers. Those who are interested in hover-crafting can visit Kalindi Kunj, a park full of fountains, trees, and marvelous lightings. One can find the most popular Film City in Sector 16A, which is a major production centre for TV serials and films. It features many malls, hotels, restaurants, nightclubs and cinema multiplexes, and also has large residential colonies.

The best time to visit Noida is between October and March. February and March, is the time, when the flowers are there in their full bloom. Noida is well connected to almost all of the major cities of India, by air, road and rail.

By Air, The Nearest Airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.

By Rail, There is no Railway Station in Noida, but the nearest railway stations are Nizamuddin, New Delhi, Old Delhi Railway Station, Shahdra in Delhi and Ghaziabd Railway Station in Ghaziabad.

By Road, Noida is well connected to different cities and has Interstate Bus Terminal at Sector-34, Noida.
