Popular Noida Excursions Guide

Noida Excursions Noida, also known as New Okhla Industrial Development Area, is the mirror image of India’s development. Noida, being an industrial town, does not have many tourist places in the city, but one can enjoy a one-day or a weekend excursion, to the places nearby Noida. Following are some of the cities, near Noida, having good places of attractions:

Agra, is one of the most popular destination in the World Tourism map, comprising the three heritage monuments - The Taj Mahal, Red Fort & Fatehpur Sikri. It is not only a city of graves and tombs, but also a
vibrant centre of Culture, Art and Religious philosophies.

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is also known as 'Pink City’. Its name is owed to the famous astronomer king Sawai Jai Singh II, who founded this colorful city in 1727.  Hawa Mahal or "Palace of Winds" is one of the most popular landmarks of Jaipur. A few of the medieval forts such as Amer, Nahargarh, Jagarh and Moti Dungri are the living testimonies of the gone years, and is a reminder of their lingering romance.

Mathura, the land of Shri Krishna. This is the place where he was born and spent his youth. It is an important place of pilgrimage and attracts thousands of devotees all the year round. This city has little towns and hamlets that are still living with the Krishna legend and redolent with the music of his flute. Mathura, a little town on the River Yamuna was transformed into a place of faith after Lord Krishna was born here.

Vrindavan, is another major place of pilgrimage, well known for its numerous temples - both old and modern. The name is synonymous to the playfulness and lovable characteristics of Shri Krishna. There are hundreds of shrines, sacred tanks and ghats in the town.

Haridwar, at the foot of the Shivalik hills, is the place where Ganga, comes down from the mighty Himalayas and meets the plains. Amongst the many pilgrimage spots, on the banks of the holy Ganga, Haridwar, perhaps, is the holiest in the land. It is also a centre of Ayurveda (herbal medicine), and traditional studies at Gurukul Kangri. There are many places of scenic beauty on the outskirts of the town.
